We center everything we do around the 2 commands that Jesus said are the most important:
1. Loving God
2. Loving People

 

You must love the Lord your God with all yourheart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatestcommandment. A second is equally important: Love your neighbor asyourself. Matthew 22:37-39


Church at the Bay exists to help people take their next steps with God.  This isn’t just a slogan for us, it’s a mandate. Jesus gaveus our marching orders when He told the church to:

 

"Go and make disciplesof all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son andthe Holy Spirit. And teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I havegiven you." (Matthew 28:19-20)

 

Jesus believed that people in relationship with Him (that’s what adisciple is) will see a marked difference in their own lives and can make aradical difference in the world at large. Our goal as a church is to introducepeople to Jesus and then to help facilitate a growing relationship with Him.

 

A key principle for Church at the Bay is: "we will focus on thethings that unite us, not the things that divide us". There are,however, some essentials that we will agree on: See Our Beliefs
